North Hunterdon Wrestling -- Spring Review

This spring, the North Wrestling program has had the privilege of hosting an outstanding lineup of clinicians, including Nestor Taffur, Kerry McCoy, Anthony Ferrari, Hudson Taylor, Jon Posniski, and Robert Kanniard. This group includes Olympians, World Team Members, NCAA Division I All-Americans, and National Champions.

Our clinics are designed not only to develop wrestling skills, but also to expose athletes to a range of perspectives, provide positive reinforcement, and instill the belief that with focus and purpose, any goal is achievable.

At North Wrestling, we believe the sport is more than just competition—it’s a vehicle for lifelong success, educational opportunity, self-esteem, and personal confidence.

North Hunterdon Hosts USA Wrestling NJ FS/Greco Qualifier and Celebrates National Team Success

North Hunterdon recently hosted a highly successful and well-attended USA Wrestling New Jersey Freestyle/Greco-Roman qualifier, welcoming over 500 wrestlers from across the state. The event marked a major milestone in the spring wrestling season and was a testament to the strength and support of the wrestling community. Five North Hunterdon wrestlers earned spots on the New Jersey National Team that will compete at the prestigious Marine Corps National Freestyle/Greco-Roman Championships in Fargo, North Dakota this July. Congratulations to Cayden Wadle, Aidan Yarussi, Dylan McGinness, Josh Joubert, and Matthew Esposito on this outstanding achievement.

Additionally, the North Hunterdon team competed at the NHSCA National Duals in Virginia Beach—one of the most competitive dual meet tournaments in the country. While the event primarily features elite club teams, North Hunterdon fielded a squad composed entirely of its own student-athletes. The team posted a solid 3-3 record against tough national competition, demonstrating grit, resilience, and team pride.

North Hunterdon to Host Special Women's Wrestling Clinic Featuring Coach Terry Steiner

On June 15, North Hunterdon is honored to welcome Terry Steiner, Head Coach of USA Wrestling Women’s National Team, for a special clinic that promises to be a great event for women’s wrestling in New Jersey.

Coach Steiner is widely recognized as a transformative leader in the sport, having elevated the profile and success of women’s wrestling on the national and international stage. This clinic is believed to be his first-ever women’s wrestling clinic in New Jersey, making it a truly unique opportunity for athletes, coaches, and fans alike.

The event will also feature Troy Steiner, Terry’s brother and a respected coach in his own right, along with Skylar Grote, a New Jersey native and recent finalist at the World Team Trials.
